Mike sold his first company, Lower Fees, Inc., to Bankrate.com (NYSE:RATE), the number one consumer finance website, in 2008. Founded in 2004, Lower Fees, Inc. (owner of FeeDisclosure.com), was a consumer based financial web portal relating to real estate and mortgage transactions.
After the purchase by Bankrate.com, Mike remained CEO of Feedisclosure.com and joined the board of Bankrate. Revenues and organic traffic increased during his tenure. After Bankrate, Mike developed several IOS apps for Mike Krzyewski (Coach K) and David Falk (FAME), as well as “Get In My Belly” and “Inspire Me”.
In 2012 Mike founded citytwig. With over 25 million validated and verified businesses and professionals, citytwig is one of the largest databases encompassing millions of unique data points and records. Recognizing that we are awash in data, including reviews and star ratings, Mike developed a proprietary scoring system to consolidate important and actionable information into a confidence and opportunity score.
Mike’s expertise has made him a regular on national news media. He has appeared in special features on CNBC, CNN ABC, NBC and The New York Times.
Mike holds a Master’s of Science (MS) in Clinical Psychology and a Master’s of Business Associates (MBA) from California Lutheran University. He completed his residency in Psychology at County USC Hospital, and has been published in the American Psychological Association (APA) Journal.
